graduating from Auburn University. Ori graduated magna cum laude
with his doctorate in pharmacy. He was inducted in to Phi Kappa Phi,
which honors the top 10% of college seniors and graduate students.
While attending
Auburn, Ori participated in numerous civic, professional, and social
activities. He served as Student Government President and was one of
the founding members of the Auburn School of Pharmacy Leadership
Forum. He served as Vice President of the Phi Lambda Sigma pharmacy
leadership society and was an active member of Kappa Psi
Pharmaceutical Fraternity. While in college, Ori worked for East
Alabama Medical Center as a pharmacy technician and at Indian Health
Services as a pharmacist.
Upon graduating, Dr.
Ori accepted a position with Eli Lilly and Company as a
pharmaceutical sales rep and clinical liaison to physicians in the
Creve Coeur area. In working with these physicians, Ori recognized
the distinct need for customized medications and alternative dosage
forms in this area of St. Louis.
After working
part-time for Schnucks Pharmacy and Express Scripts, Ori opened
Specialty Pharmacy of St. Louis on January 20, 2003, with the help
of Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), which is the
premier compounding organization in the world. Specialty Pharmacy of
St. Louis has grown to one of the top compounding pharmacies in the
United States and both Dr. Ori and the pharmacy have been recognized
for compounding excellence by PCCA.
Ori enjoys the
variance of his career, and the patient interaction that is unique
to the field of compounding. He actively works with the St. Louis
College of Pharmacy (StLCoP) by giving lectures and providing
learning opportunities to pharmacy students. Dr. Ori has also given
lectures for the State Podiatry Association, American Society of
Pain Management Nurses, Philippine Nurses Association of America,
St. Louis Pediatric Society, and various community groups.
When not running the
pharmacy, Ori tries to keep up with his two young children. Mr. and
Mrs. Ori enjoy attending many types of sporting events, in
particular Cardinals Baseball games and Auburn Tiger Football games.
Ori also enjoys spending time with friends and family at Lake of the
Ozarks and traveling.
Erin E. Thomas
is a 2nd generation pharmacist who received her doctorate of
pharmacy from St. Louis College of pharmacy (StLCoP) in 2005. After
graduation she went on to the Veterans Administration Medical
Center, where she completed a year-long residency specializing in
geriatrics and disease state management. During that year she also
had many teaching responsibilities at StLCoP. Erin first experienced
compounding on her pharmacy school rotations and decided to mix the
two specialties, thus joining Specialty Pharmacy of St. Louis in
July of 2006. She currently specializes in geriatrics and disease
state management and has furthered her education by becoming
board-certified as a pharmacotherapy specialist through the American
College of Clinical Pharmacy. She enjoys doing personalized
consultations for hormone replacement, diabetes, high blood
pressure, high cholesterol, and other disease states. The pharmacy
is equipped with state of the art devices for measuring lipids,
liver function, hbA1c, and glucose. Blood pressure monitoring is
also available. Along with disease state management, Erin is also
certified through the American Pharmacist’s Association to provide
immunizations such as flu and pneumonia vaccines.
Erin enjoys teaching,
and continues to educate both 4th and 6th year students at Specialty
Pharmacy, in addition to her teaching responsibilities at the
college. She also enjoys lecturing and has done many
continuing-education lectures for people of various professions,
including pharmacists, nurses, doctors, and physical therapists.
Erin is currently a
member of American Pharmacist’s Association, American College of
Clinical Pharmacy, International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists,
American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, and American
Geriatrics Society and enjoys volunteering for various roles and
responsibilities in the organizations.
In her spare time,
Erin is involved in volleyball and bowling leagues and enjoys
running, reading, and spending time with family and friends,
including her dog Addy, a Labrador Retriever/Rottweiler mix. Erin
adopted Addy from the Animal Protective Association shelter in 2007,
and has been busy ever since.
Lindsey Mizell
is the Director of Operations for Specialty Pharmacy. She is
responsible for many management, accounting, and marketing tasks for
the company. Lindsey is a native of St. Louis who graduated from
Lindenwood University with a B.S. in Biology. She worked as a
veterinary technician for four years before joining the Specialty
Pharmacy team. Due to her experience in veterinary medicine, Lindsey
has a special interest in spreading the word about veterinary
compounding. While working as a veterinary technician, Lindsey
witnessed many pets’ ailments go untreated due to owners’ difficulty
in administering the necessary medication. She is pleased that
through compounding, pets can get the treatment they need.
In her spare time,
Lindsey enjoys spending time with her zoo, most notably her rescued
American Pit Bull Terrier “Chloe,” and volunteering at the Animal
Protective Association of Missouri shelter. She also enjoys human
activities such as going to dinner with friends, racing sailboats,
watching films, and going to concerts.
Sue Kuenker

since the pharmacy opened in January 2003. She is responsible for
making the specialized medications that are dispensed from the
pharmacy. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal
Justice from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau,
Mo. Before working at Specialty Pharmacy she had over 10 years of
Pharmacy experience with a major retail pharmacy.
In her free time Sue

“Riley.” The Kuenkers’ favorite activities are boating and
traveling.
Amy Massa is
currently a student pharmacist at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
She joined the Specialty Pharmacy team as an intern in May 2005
shortly after a presentation given by Dr. Lee Ori sparked her
interest in compounding. Amy plans to continue her career in
compounding after graduating with her doctorate in pharmacy in May
2009.
Outside of work and
pharmacy school, Amy enjoys going out to dinner with her fiancé,
spending time with her cat and dog, building things, cooking,
singing, and photography.

pharmacy, and dancing on the Pridette team at her school. In her
spare time, she enjoys reading and watching football with her
family. She hopes to attend pharmacy school, and to one day spend a
lot of time traveling.
